LBD

Morning Lovelies!

Thursday again? Oh thank goodness!
I have had a rough few days/ weeks.  When I say that, I do not mean to complain at all.  I have a wonderful life, I am a very lucky girl to have mostly wonderful people surrounding me. I am grateful and very thankful for that.

That being said, to my young readers a word of advice: Choose very carefully who you surround yourself with and be selective with the company that you keep. Doing so in the long run may save you years of upsets, let downs and heartbreak.

But this DRESS!
So when I first caught a glimpse of this LBD (little beaded dress) dress at Free People, I nearly lost my damn mind. I couldn't decide if I thought is was Gatsby-esque or more Pocahontas.

Last weekend I checked out a tapas bar in Cambridge, MA called Cuchi Cuchi.
Upon entering you get the feeling you have time warped into a 1920s speakeasy. The waitresses and bartenders all dress in period clothing, it is so fantastic! I took this opportunity to wear my new Free People dress. It was a perfect choice.

What do you think? 1920s or Native American?

Have a wonderful Weekend!
xx, Elise

  6. OOOh! I think it is flapper-esque! If you wore a different hairstyle then maybe it would look more Native American. Thank you for the sage life advice! I hope things smooth out for you!

  7. What a beautiful dress and I had to laugh when I read LBD was BEADED not black. :) You look like a fashionable pocahontas! I agree, I have tried to distance myself from circles of friends that are very gossipy, it is just not good. I'm not sure if that is what you're talking about, but choosing friends and who you hang out with overall is very important!

  10. Such a gorgeous dress, Elise, I sense more of a flapper vibe, to be honest, largely thanks to that exquisite beading and the slight sheen of the fabric :)
