Morning Lovelies!

I don't always incorporate color, but when I do, often times it is a mint or sea foam hue.

By now you may have noticed, I love pale green, mint, aqua, whatever you like to call it. In the Spring and Summer I always find myself gravitating towards those soft beautiful hues. I think it is a color that looks great on pretty much everyone, and it is just so darn appealing. Perfect for pairing with nudes, peaches and blush tones (also a few of my favorites).

Good Morning!

I had the most amazing weekend celebrating one of my bestie's birthdays.

If you follow me on snapchat (@elise09262) or instagram (sparkle_and_slippers) you saw some of the fun I had in NYC. I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked because I was having so much fun, but I guess that is a good thing!

I got this maxi not too long ago at Madewell, it was perfect for walking around New York on an 80 degree day. Light weight and airy, it was comfy and cool for a day of lunching and sightseeing.

Good Morning! It is almost the weekend! Well, for me it is the weekend.

There will be no outfit of the day today as I am out of the office and will be in New York through the weekend.

I was so hesitant to join snapchat. After much hounding from my niece Camille and a lot of reluctance on my part I broke down and joined. For weeks she was the only person I snapped and I found it kind of stupid and annoying, even more ridiculous than I has originally anticipated. After following a few more friends and some other bloggers, maneuvering through the app, I have discovered it is so fun! Addictive even! It is silly and fun. Not only creating snaps but following along watching other's stories.

Layering Wrap

Good Morning!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

I am headed to New York City midweek and I am so excited! I love New York! I love it around the holidays. The city is so lively, pretty and festive, no better place to really get you in the holiday spirit. However, I am not sure New York is ever more beautiful than it is in the Spring. Everything is in bloom, so many people crowd the streets each with their own story. It is my absolute favorite. What I am most excited about is celebrating one of my besties birthdays. Nancy and I have been friends since we moved into our dorms freshman year at The Boston Conservatory twenty two years ago. Oh, God has it really been that long? Yes, yes it has been. She is a tremendous friend and we have seen each other through so much, I can't imagine not being there to celebrate her 40th year on this earth.

For weeks I have been putting together outfits in my head, but the two challenges I have are the weather, and sensible footwear. Turns out the weather is going to be perfect, but a few of the days I will be traipsing around the city, so I need comfortable/ cute footwear. Any Suggestions? No seriously...

Layering is a must pretty much everywhere during these Spring months. In the morning it can be in the 30s and by mid afternoon it is in the 70s. I am so obsessed with this cardi/wrap. I love the color, it is cotton which makes it lightweight and cool, and there are endless possibilities as to how you can wrap and style it. My favorite way to wear it is untied with jeans and a tee as you can see below.
