Thursday already? Yesssssss!! 

Not that I am wishing the Summer away, but I just love and cherish my weekends so much! 

Ok, so let's cut right to the chase... this jumpsuit, right?  A few weeks back when I was in Seal Beach I stumbled upon the cutest boho boutique Stitch and Feather. I quite literally wanted everything, and I was astonished at the completely affordable price point. 

Normally I would shy away from something, so low cut, but I loved it, threw caution to the wind, bought it and thought I would figure it out later. I tried cutlets, nope. the side tape to help hold you in an appropriate position... nope. I supposed I could uses double sided tape, but it just so happens I had this beautiful VIX bikini top that matched and added a bit of sparkle.  Sometimes you just need to be creative.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  It's official, we are having a heatwave! We have been experiencing extreme heat here in the Northeast.  While I am not sure we have beat the record just yet, we are well on our way.  This is my favorite time of year!  I love the heat, probably because I can escape it in my air conditioned office, house, and beach house on the weekends. I know I am exceptionally fortunate.  Almost every weekend the weather on Cape Cod has been superb.  Always slightly cooler near the ocean the temps have only been in the mid to upper 80s and remaining that way in the evening. Sometimes it is difficult to even imagine wearing clothing at all, so I like to keep it simple, and light. This dress is perfect for a day or night out in the heat. 

The basic ruched tank dress is so versatile, and as previously posted I am a sucker for a LWD. The ruching is fantastic, and can hide a multitude of sins. ;)

Is it really midweek already?  

So trends come in and out pretty rapidly.  Sometimes I will spend money on a quality made trend, but most times I don't like to break the bank on a certain trend that may have seen it's day before the season is even over let alone next year. 

Hot Kiss and Harmony Havoc are a few of those brands that are perfect for the latest trends!  

When I was approached by them for a possible collaboration I was so pleased. I found their selection of on trend, well made clothing at a perfect price point, terrific.  This is the first of a few Hot Kiss posts I will have through the end of the Summer. 

How cute are these shorts?    

I am normally not a shorts person as I am not particularly fond of my legs, but I thought this pair was just too cute with the pom pom detail. Super light and airy, perfect for the super humid beach weather.

Being the giant goofball I am, occasionally I make themed play lists.  For example New York requires NYC themed list (Broadway, NY artists or mentions), southwest road trip had a western theme,  and my latest Southern California trip was mostly gangster rap and country... weird combo, I know!  

Some of my best girlfriends are spread all over the country, so often times, I road trip to see them or fly and we do a trip together. In cases where a few of us have flown into one location we have had to set up transportation. If you are planning your own road trip I strongly suggest Turo.  Similar to an airbnb, you register and find local cars available for rental.  They are located in 2,500 locations and 300 airports, ideal for an epic road trip! 

With plenty more weekends left this Summer, I am planning to hop in my car for some more adventures. Here are some of my favorite playlists.

Why is it that only a week after the 4th I am thinking the Summer is almost over.  The depression is already sinking in that we only have 10 weeks of Summer left.  By 10 weeks I mean until the actual Autumn Equinox, not when the kids go back to school. TEN WEEKS!! that is actually a really long time! If I could only look at the winter like that.  I know these ten weeks will fly by. My social calendar is way busier in the Summer, and as they say 'time flies when you are having fun'.  I still have so many fun things planned.  SO from here on out, I will be present, have fun, and enjoy every moment of this wonderful season #summergoals. 

I have been on a jumpsuit/romper/dress roll recently, so I tried to switch it up a bit...
