Good morning lovelies! 

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. 

My dad was admitted back into the hospital on Friday, then later in the weekend released. They have treated him for a UTI, so hopefully he will finally be on the mend.

I am STILL battling the throat/ head cold/ chest illness. Seems it just wants to make it's way through my entire body and stick around for a while. 

My sister in law and I took the kids to see 'A Dogs Purpose'. Ok... It was a great movie, the kids loved it. If you have ever seen 'My Dog Skip' or "Marley and Me' and cried, this movie will leave you sniveling under mound of tissues.  To say I couldn't get it together would be an understatement.  We had to stay about ten minutes after it was over in order to collect ourselves.  Again, great movie, but you may want to wait until it is on demand so you can sob in the privacy of your own home.       

Onto this look...

I have always been loved femme dandy style, the juxtaposition of masculine and feminine work so well.  Stars such as Marlene Dietrich, Katherine Hepburn, Diane Keaton and Madonna have all rocked this style. It is a fun way to look and feel powerful and still very sexy.

Thank God it's Thursday!! 

One more day until the weekend.

Bloody hell, I am sick again! What the what? This time around it is a sore throat, cold, chills, etc. I am so over it! Is it Spring yet? 

Over the next few weeks I will be posting all kinds of Valentine's Day inspired looks. Pinks, burgundy and reds. Some subtle and others not so subtle. 

Today I begin my Valentine looks with this soft, pale pink bell sleeve top. I fell in love the moment I saw it at Zara.  The material is so cozy and the color in my opinion is so feminine.

Good Tuesday Morning! 

What a weekend! A whirlwind, but fun and productive. 

I went to the women's march in Boston along side my mother.  I found it to be wonderful. Mostly because it was peaceful, fun, productive and supportive. My support of said march caused some unwarranted memes on facebook. Some man who did not like my support on a particular thread decided to creep my page, and create memes with a photo of mine and post them while tagging me.  It really didn't bother me, it just further proves the point that woman should demand more respect and not be judged by appearance, a few of the many reasons women were marching in the first place.

I also was able to catch two movies.  For those of you who haven't seen LaLa Land, go! 

I loved it! Singing, dancing, a love story, perfect! 

Another highlight was the Patriots clinching the AFC championship title.  On to the Superbowl!!  This Superbowl win would be a little more sweet after the TB12 suspension at the beginning of the season and maybe a tiny "IN YOUR FACE GOODELL!" 

I know I had mentioned a while back that my dad has been sick. He had surgery yesterday, and while the surgery was quick and went well, they gave him a 50% chance of it working. While at this point, not life threatening, we pray that he beats the odds. 

On to this look. I am 100% completely obsessed with this jacket.  incorporating the embroidery trend with one of my favorite pieces, a leather jacket. It really stands out on it's own, but can be styled so many different ways.   With our winter temps being super mild lately, dare I say almost Spring like, I have been able to wear it quite a lot.

Yay for Thursday! 

Nobody could be more excited that tomorrow is Friday than I am. 

Everybody knows not to go out at the beginning of the week because you will inevitably be junk. Well, I went out Sunday evening... lesson learned.

    

If you live in a area with four seasons where Winter seems to last forever, than you know you can never have too many pairs of boots or too many coats and jackets. Loving the teddy bear jacket trend. Warm and Fuzzy?  Yes please!
