I hope you all had a wonderful weekend long weekend. My weekend was interesting with some fun peppered in. I did get to the beach for a few days which was lovely and somewhat relaxing.  

Everyone knows I love a maxi dress. If I am not in a romper, I am usually living in a maxi. They are comfy and efforts, and guys, how cute it this one? When I saw this maxi, I instantly fell in love with with ombre' color. Happy Thursday Eve!

I could not be happier about this upcoming Memorial Day weekend. It's the unofficial beginning of the Summer and the first weekend we head to the beach. I am a lover of wearing black, but something happens when I head to the Cape in May that makes me swap black for navy.  Is it the nautical vibe of the beach?  Is it the patriotic feel of Memorial Day and the 4th of July?  Who knows, but this transition has been happening as long as I can remember.  When I saw this Navy OTS dress from Sammydress I knew it was something I needed for the Summer.  I loved the length and laser cut detail, making it appropriate for a Summer wedding or just to meet my friends at a seaside bar.     

I hope you all have a relaxing and safe long weekend.

Happy Tuesday! 

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was busy and fun with baseball and dance. I was super excited to finally get out with my niece on Sunday to take some photos.  Every day she is feeling better and slowly but surely getting back to her normal activities.  Sunday evening we went to a carnival and watched fireworks which got us home rather late, but just in time to see the Celtics beat the Cavaliers! Woo hoo! I am sure the Cavs will take this series, but at least it wasn't a total sweep. 

So, everybody knows the best accessory during the sunny months are sunglasses, and I am in love with my new Winkwood pair.  This Australian company uses materials that are resistant to standard wear and tear, maintains colors for longer and floats in water!! I fell in love with these White Russians . Initially the cool white frames got me, but they had me at purple mirror lenses.  In addition to looking cool and trendy these lenses are tested to reflect or filter out 99% of UVA and UVB light. I also love how light weight they are, they are so comfortable, functional and fabulous!

Yay, It's Thursday!! 

Is this week flying by for anyone else? 

With baseball games, school projects, dance classes, work, etc, it has been nuts!

Earlier in the week I received my CIZE by Shaun T. DVDs in the mail. 

With a crazy schedule I find it hard to fit in a work out, as I am sure a lot of you can relate.  I was a fan of the Beach Body videos T25, so I thought the CIZE (figuratively and literally the end of exercise) dance videos would be a great work out.  I am such a sucker for testimonials and before and after photos. These people have lost pounds, inches, firmed up AND learned to dance all while having so much fun in only 35 minutes a day!  Most of you may know I have an extensive dance background, so naturally I thought, 'I've got this'.  So Monday night I popped in the DVD and got to work and here is what I learned. 

1. While you may not think of it as a workout because you aren't doing squats, push-ups, planks and sit ups, you had better be prepared that you will get your heart rate up and sweat your a** off.

2. I worked muscles I forgot I had. My arms are so sore, it is a struggle to get dressed. 

3. Turns out, I can't dance. I have no raw talent and I am completely uncoordinated! ;)

With my sore arms and the temps climbing into the 90s, it want to be comfortable and cool. 

When I saw this striped sammydress, I knew it needed to see the inside of my closet. You know when you have a piece that you wear over and over, this dress is that for me. It is so versatile and a perfect Summer staple.

Good Morning Dolls! 

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating all the moms or being celebrated for being a wonderful mom to babies, fur babies, etc.  

I had a wonderful weekend, jam packed actually. Friday evening I got together with my friend, Julie who I do not get to see as often as I would like because she moved out of state. To say we had a blast would be an understatement. I rolled in at 2:30 AM like I think I am still in my early 20s. So.much.fun!

The men did a wonderful job planning a Mother's Day Brunch at Brio in Chestnut Hill. Flowers, pitchers of bellinis, hilarious conversation and an overall wonderful time was had by all. After Brunch all the ladies went to see Beauty and the Beast.  Guys, have you seen this?  It completely exceeded my expectations, so wonderfully done.  I laughed, I cried, it was amazing!     

  

Onto this look.  

One trend, I love and am excited isn't going anywhere is the off the shoulder trend. As some of you may remember from a post last year, I was not the biggest OTS fan at first. Although the look is so feminine and pretty, I had a hard time with it. I am Italian, extremely expressive and talk with grand hand gestures almost always.  Well, I have since gotten over feeling like I am in a straight jacket and have quite a few OTS pieces. When I saw this top I needed to have it.   Light and airy, flowy and feminine, and the green and blue embroidery was different and so beautiful.
