Happy Thursday Loves! 

This week is flying by, I feel like it was just the weekend. Since I got home, I hit the ground running. Spring is in full effect here which means my son is at the ball field constantly. This weekend is jam packed with football and baseball, hopefully in between some of these games we can sneak in a little fun. 

There is just something about beautiful lace that is just so feminine, right? I initially got this kimono to wear over jeans and a top, but it was just so perfect as a cover up, especially in the Florida heat. 

I am so happy that one piece swim suits are so in right now. You don't have to bare it all, but you can still look stylish and sexy with plunging necklines, cut outs, mesh and lots of straps.

Good morning! 

I am finally back from Miami and boy was it spectacular! 

With the weather causing a major headache at the airport, our flight was delayed three times, the gate was changed a slew of times and because of the inclement weather, our pilot told us what would normally be a 2.5 hour flight was going to be 4 hours. Turns out that we were held in a holding pattern and flew around the airport for another hour until we were told it was ok to land. So what should be a quick jaunt took double the time. They had prepared us for some turbulence, but it turns out the ride was super smooth, so I guess that is the upside.

Guys, the weather was picture perfect, not a cloud in the sky and an amazing breeze.

I wish we had stayed even longer, but alas, I do have a life and responsibilities I needed to get back to.  If you follow me on insta @Sparkle_and_Slippers you may have caught some of my stories. 

I am such a fan of dark floral, when I saw this flowy midi dress I had to make it mine. 

The lightweight material was perfect to wear to dinner our second night in town.

Good Morning! 

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. 

Mine was packed, I had a fundraiser Friday evening, a football event Saturday and I did some Spring cleaning Sunday afternoon.  Friday's fundraiser was for circle of Hope, in which my sister in-law danced in a local dancing with the stars. In the months leading up to the dance event each of the 6 dancers had to fund raise holding separate events, the collectively raised $184,000!! 

I was so impressed by their commitment to both raising money as well as the dedication to learning and rehearsing their dances.  They were all so amazing! 

The weather here still refuses to accept it is spring, however Mother Nature might get the memo by the end of the week with temps soaring into the 70s! 

When I saw this top I thought it was just darling, I mean, who doesn't love stripes?  The ruffles, too cute!  I loved it paired with jeans for this time of year, layered with a light jacket and you're ready to go!

TGIF Eve! 

My weekend starts today! Tonight I am heading out with my bestie from college for dinner then off to visit our friend who is hosting an event at Club Cafe.  Tomorrow I am going to a Dancing with the Stars fundraiser and putting my make up skills to work on my sister-in-law who will be dancing for the mirror ball trophy. 

The count down is on to when I can take off my walking cast.  Technically I can take it off tomorrow, but I have an ortho appointment next Friday.  I feel like I have been wearing variations of the same outfit. The boot is not at all easy to accessorize, and I have had to wear flats for weeks! 

Luckily it comes off right before I head to Miami for a nice getaway, give me all the cute sandals! 

I can't wait to bring some fun spring looks, but until then, here are some of my favorite looks from last spring.
