Stripe and Tassel dress... or tunic

Thursday, April 6, 2017 4:30 AM

Hey Dolls! Happy Friday Eve!
Yes, we have almost made it through another week!

So... I am a Bloomingdales Loyalist, which is basically a rewards program for Bloomingdales card holders.  I go on a small monthly spree and I pay the card off at the end of the month.  That being said, loyalists are privy to great sales, bigger discounts, free shipping and a points system that gets you gift cards.  A lot of the clothes and accessories I have featured on S&S are from Bloomies, it truly is my favorite go to store.

A few weeks ago I was on Bloomingdales.com looking through the latest trends for fall when I cam across this dress. Chambray stripe? Check!  Multi Color Tassels? Check! Pom Pom strings? Check! This was a perfect item for my upcoming jaunt to Miami.

I got the 'dress' next day, because their shipping is super fast, held it up to myself to see if it would fit and packed it for a photo shoot.  Got to my shoot location, threw on my 'dress' only to find it is actually a tunic.  If it was just super short, I think I could have still rocked it as a dress, but it was the side slits that reached the top of my hip bones that made me rethink. So in the future I will probably wear this tunic with some white denim, but today, it was a dress.

Hope you all have an amazing weekend! Doing anything fun?

xx, Elise

  10. Loving the stripes and tassels on this! I am certain it would be a tunic on me with my height, but I love tunics! I don't shop Bloomindale's much. Not sure why. You are making me think I need too.

  21. Love the color of that dress, and obsessing over those shoes! We don't have a Bloomingdales around here so I'm not familiar with their program, but it sounds just as amazing as Nordstrom. I love it when companies reward their frequent customers <3
