Recently I have been feeling stuck in my wardrobe, always wearing the same things, or so similar, that I might as well be wearing the same outfit. A few weeks back I organized all my closets, color coding and putting all articles on proper velvet hangers. This has made everything more easily accessible, hanging at the same height and easy to find. It also forced me into taking inventory of what I need, what I wanted to bring back into rotation and what I haven't worn in a few seasons. (I strongly suggest throwing out, donating or giving away to family or friends, items you haven't worn in more than two calendar seasons). It seems that almost every kind of jean is 'in' right now, skinny, boot cut, straight leg, boyfriend, distressed, as well as many washes. I dug deep to a pair of darker boot cut sevens that I haven't worn in a while, pairing it with a light blue blouse for a casual, yet professional office look.

Support Movember and Men's Health by purchasing a pair of sevens!! What better way to rationalize a jean purchase than giving to a great charity and raising awareness for men's health?

This weekend I had friends visiting from NYC, so Nolan and I were on the go all weekend long. Dinners, shopping dates, lunches, and LOTS of walking around. I knew I would be on my feet all day Saturday and I needed to think sensibly about what to put on my feet. While I love to 'try' and look stylish, I also need to be comfortable. We covered lots of ground on a sunny Saturday in the city. I opted for my black, wedge, high top sneakers, and built my outfit around them.

I am sure most of you, like me, enjoy staying on top of the latest trends. I do like to spend money on certain things, staples, items that will last. A few seasons ago I made the best purchase of my life when I invested in my Stuart Weitzman black suede ankle booties. I have worn them countless times, and I believe they are worth their weight in gold. That being said, in addition to the fact I am not independently wealthy, I can't rationalize a big purchase for a trendy item that will mostly be in and out before the next season.
So without further ado, here are my picks for Fall 2014 Lust and Musts.

A few posts ago I talked about the sporty chic trend. I have fully embraced it. One of my favorite things to do is to mix casual and glamor. Sequins and sneakers, a dress with a leather jacket, and with this look a varsity shirt, with heels and a statement necklace. These looks have versatility that can take you from day to night effortlessly.
What I wore:
Top - MNG by Mango
Jeans - ZARA
Heels - Jeffrey Cambell for Free People
Pouchette - Balenciaga (similar here)
Sunnies - Ray-Ban
Bracelet and Necklace - Forever 21 (similar here)
