What a weekend!  I had a weekend jam packed with fun as well as strange events.  Weekends like this are what I love most.  The weather was so beautiful, perfect for meeting old and new friends in the city for lunch, taking in a baseball game, a graduation party, an odd but fun meeting at an airport, and a family cookout to celebrate Father's day.

So for my Monday outfit of the day I chose something effortless and low key.  Note that I didn't put my coffee down. ;)



 

So Summer has finally arrived, which makes me the happiest girl alive!!  My love and appreciation for the Summer stems from the fact we are only given a few short weeks of warmth and sunlight. I take full advantage of every minute of it in order to recharge.  One of my favorite things about Summer are the beach weekends. Seeing old friends, dining out, ice cream and fudge, but especially the great shopping.  Hidden away in so many beach communities are small boutiques that carry little known brands.  I found this little treasure at a small boutique called Cape Chic.  At first I thought it was a light weight dress, but under further investigation I discovered it was in fact a jumpsuit.
With it's bright colors and tribal print, it was a no brainer.

One of the hardest things for me to do with the arrival of warmer weather is breakup with my leather jacket.  We have such a tight bond, and she (yes she is female) is such a part of my life.  We are together for most of the Autumn and Winter months, so come Spring she becomes a little heavy and a well deserved break is needed. I do however like to incorporate other pieces of leather into my wardrobe.  This vegan leather 'skort' was a excellent choice for this mild Spring day.  Pairing it with a grey chambray top, a statement necklace and chucks was the perfect way to stay casual, but polished.  

Live the Bohemian Life!!
I like to think I lead a bohemian lifestyle. Not what some would call a hippie, because I have an extremely wide range of different tastes in music, fashion, art, literature etc. I like to think I am, as well as surround myself with very creative people. Above all,  I am an optimist even though I can be very cynical too. While I am disorganized, slightly discombobulated, and a little distracted, I am generally very laid back with a relaxed attitude towards life.

I think that relaxed attitude plays a role in my attire and during the Summer months I love to wear light airy dresses for a cool, effortless look.
