Happy Tuesday Loves!
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I got away this weekend and seriously had such an amazing time, but a little more about that in a bit...
I know when you go away you want to take all of your pretty things, but it just isn't practical, especially if you are only vacationing for a few days. I used to travel to the west coast quite a bit and during that time I mastered the art of packing for shorter trips.
The key is to pack outfits that you can bring from day to night with a quick change of accessories and shoes.
I was able to wear this basic hi-low maxi during the day with sandals, a cross body and tassel earrings and at night as seen below. Sticking to basics and bringing smaller accessories and shoes is key.

Do you have any packing rules or suggestions?
xx, Elise

I'm terrible when it comes to packaging, I really have no business advising anyone:).

A versatile dress that can be worn dressed up or down is key for traveling! Love your necklace you added to it! So glamorous!
ReplyDeleteI love this look, lady- the perfect amount of sexy!
ReplyDeleteAnd I hear you (although I'm a terrible packer)- it's usually better to go with basics you can mix and match than a bunch of beautiful + unique items.

I am admittedly a terrible packer! I agree about trying to pick things that easily transition from day to night. A maxi is a great idea.

I completely agree with you! I never wear half of the stuff that I pack on a trip. I always end up going so much more casual than I initially thought. You look amazing in this maxi dress and that necklace is too cool!

I totally agree. I end up bringing all my new clothes just because I want to wear them but they never match! Haha so I end up bringing home all these unworn clothes.

Looks like your warm weather vacation agrees with you, Elise. =) A simple black maxi dress like yours is key. This night out look turned divine. What a stunning, unique, macrame emerald necklace. Looks like a scarf, too.
ReplyDeleteWelcome by and linkup with me on Thursdays, too. A new linkup just went live. Come share your awesome style with me and my readers. Thanks and have a great week! =))

ReplyDeleteI also am the worst packer ever and I bring way too many things. Then still I change my mind a hundred times and don't want to wear what I've brought. So I go buy new things! Then I can't fit it all in my luggage to get it back home! But you did an amazing job transitioning this lovely dress from day to evening. That green tassel necklace is such a statement. It makes it look like an entirely different dress. I love it! Thanks for joining my #SpreadTheKindness Link Up.
