Are you excited for the long weekend? Nolan has his first football game of the season on Sunday.  We are excited for that as well as getting some relaxation in. It has been a crazy couple of days being back at school!


I am not a super impulsive buyer, I like to think about things before I make purchases, especially big purchases.  Sometimes I see a bag, or a certain pair of shoes that I obsess about until they find their way into my closet but on quite a few occasions I have been burned and bought a big ticket item only to have a dupe out weeks later for a fraction of the price.  It has happened on so many occasions that I would like to say I have learned my lesson.  The most recent of these occasions was early last Spring when I bought the Loeffler Randall gold star wrap sandals for $195. Granted $195 isn't completely breaking the bank, but when I saw almost identical sandals a few weeks later in F21 for $17, I had a fit.

I saw these Stuart Weitzman booties weeks ago and it was my plan to buy them as a birthday gift to myself, UNTIL I saw the Steve Madden version for a lot less... Yes please!

Good Morning Lovelies! 

As Autumn looms, I am still not completely ready to jump in head first to cooler weather clothes. Once I take the leap I will be in cool/cold weather mode until next May, so as you can understand I am trying to hang on to any remnants of Summer I can.  Transitional pieces are always great for any change of season, but in the Spring I am all too excited to pack away my sweaters and get right into Summer. Today I am sharing with you a Summer LWD that I can wear now, and in a few weeks when the temps are marginally cooler.  I got this dress in July and now it is under $20!!

To say I am devastated that the Summer is coming to a close, would be a vast understatement! 

Truth be told, I am beyond pissed.  Summer is my favorite and mostly because it is more relaxing for both Nolan and myself. More laid back, less of a schedule (notice I said 'less'), with the exception of  baseball camp and Football starting in early august, we weren't running around from sport to sport. 
I like to think of myself as a laid back person, I am not super organized, I don't make lists, but I had to sit down and make a calendar of all of our activities because I was on the verge of having an anxiety attack. I work full time, have dance classes two nights a week, Nolan has football four times a week, baseball two, ccd and there are a million things that just pop up every week.  I am really looking forward to the last two official weekends of Summer before the craziness begins.
Off to the beach we go.

Happy Tuesday! 

My son has spent time away from me before, with his dad, grandparents, etc, but never with a friend and their family. Last week he went to Maine with his friend's family and I was without him.  I missed that little bugger. With constant photos, updates and FaceTime, I am knew he was having a blast and I go to enjoy a little me time! After Nolan was returned safe and sound (lol), we headed to the beach for the weekend. The Falmouth Road Race always brings my friends, old and new into town, and as always it was so lovely to hang!

Happy Tuesday!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was great! I headed to the beach and I got to celebrate my friend/ co-worker's birthday.  It was such a wonderful day, so wonderful in fact there were almost no pictures taken.  With amazing food, signature cocktails and an outside oasis, everyone was enjoying themselves so much no one reached for phones or cameras!  Her kids did such an amazing job putting together a fabulous day for one fabulous lady!
