Wintery Mint

Happy Tuesday!
If you follow my insta stories, you know that I have landed myself in a walking cast due to the fall I took 8 weeks ago. You may remember me telling you that I slipped and fell at a restaurant and laughed until I cried. I never really stopped any activity, continued to dance on it and it has progressively gotten worse. Turns out I damaged it more than I had originally thought and I get to wear a lovely boot for at least a month. Guys, I have heard the boot is the coolest accessory for Spring! LOL!

With some snow days and limited activities, I have been able to watch a few of the Oscar nominated movies. I had previously seen iTonya, which truth be told, I was not super excited to see it, but boy let me tell you, it exceeded all expectations. Allison Janney deserved that Oscar for sure! Usually I see all the films before the awards, but it just didn't work out that way this year. I would love to see all of them, but more than anything 'Call Me By Your Name' and 'Shape Of Water'. Last week, I watched 'Lady Bird', it was a nice coming of age movie. Saturday evening we watched 'Call Me By Your Name', I am not sure I could love this movie more. Set in 1983 in Italy, the scenery is beautiful, the soundtrack is great and the story is emotional, and moving and just wonderful. Timothee Chalamet is a phenomenal actor and should win all of the Oscars from here on out. Do yourselves a favor and see it!
Currently the Northeast is getting dumped on again, expecting to another 12 - 18 inches. Thankfully the temps will warm up later in the week and hopefully all of the snow will melt. There is nothing I want to do more than dress for Spring. Give me all of the pastels and floral patterns! Recently I have been combing Spring colors and winter textures for transitional looks.

Ouch! That sounds very painful. I hope you'll take care and heal up well.
ReplyDeleteYour film watching sounds great!
Those snow accumulations are really unpredictable. Right now the snow is still coming down by me but has accumulated less than 2 inches. Meanwhile, about 2 miles away where My ex-wife lives she told me there's more than a foot of snow already.
I haven't seen iTonya yet but may watch when it comes on NetFlix.
I second that wish of being able to dress for Spring. I love Spring colours and fashions. Your balloon-sleeve jumper and mint green trousers look attractive and fashionable.

So sorry about your fall! Well it sounds like spring hasn't yet sprung where you are, so at least you're not missing out on great weather. I want to see Shape of Water, too! I missed out on a lot of nominated films this year.
