Can you believe tomorrow is  Halloween? 

October has flown by, in a few short weeks it will be Thanksgiving, than Christmas... YIKES! 

Here are some simple ideas for last minute Halloween looks.

Whether it is for an adult gathering, a school event, handing out candy or trick or treating, 

these looks are quick & easy.

What you will need:

black eyeliner pencil

black liquid eyeliner 

brown and green shadows

iridescent glitter powder (kryolan makes the best!)

Clown

What you will need:

black eyeliner pencil

black liquid eyeliner

purple and pink shadows

glitter powder

tutu or clown collar

Scarecrow 

What you will need:

black eyeliner pencil

white eyeliner pencil

black liquid eyeliner

orange cream shadow or in my case NYX matte lip color
floppy hat
plaid shirt

Hi Loves! Thank God it's Thursday!!
We are almost to the weekend, hooray!

What does everybody have on tap for the weekend?
This is the first weekend since Labor Day that we do not have football, hopefully I will be able to get some much needed errands done.

Have you seen 'A Star Is Born' yet?
I haven't loved a movie like this in so long, I was glad that it lived up to the hype.
It is definitely heart wrenching, but the performances (acting and singing) by Both Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga are phenomenal.  The song 'I'll Never Love Again' is just perfect.  If you have the opportunity, go see it!

I never saw the 1976 version with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristopherson, but I remember how much my mother loved the movie and the soundtrack. The song 'Evergreen' would definitely be on the soundtrack of my life, Volume 1.

Speaking of evergreen, what about the color of this dress!?!  I love, love, love this color!! Evergreen, forrest green, botanical, or peacock, I just love the deep rich tone.
Worn with booties here, I imagine this will be a great transition dress with a cardi, tights, or OTK boots.  The possibilities are endless.

Happy Tuesday! 

If someone told me twelve years ago that I would be the mother of a boy, and that boy would love sports and I would eventually love them too, I would have been in utter disbelief. 

Truthfully, I am by no means a sports fanatic, but I do love watching him play basketball, baseball and especially football, and because of his love of sports I have learned to appreciate The Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics.  

Nolan's football season wrapped this weekend with their win over a very strong team making it their 4th shutout  in a row!  The season has been very long and started in early August, in the midst of sweltering heat. Week by week the temps have gotten cooler and layers have been added.
When I saw this cropped sweatshirt while boutique shopping in Nashville, I HAD to have it!

Last Sunday I wore it to Nolan's football game, and later on in the day the Patriots, Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox were playing simultaneously, it was certainly 'game day'.

Maybe, I will even wear it tonight while the Sox play game 1 of the World Series!

One of the biggest Fall trends is the thermal top. 

Crew neck, henley, empire cut, knotted or half tucked, this style is a casual look that is everywhere. 

 I have found myself in a pattern in which every time I see a thermal I want to buy it. 

I love them and they are such a great layer with the plummeting temps. 

Seriously you guys it went from 85 to mid forties in the blink of an eye.

Happy Tuesday! 

As most of you know, my girlfriends and I had an amazing trip to Nashville a few weeks back. 

When I tell you we had the most amount of fun we could have had, I am not exaggerating one bit. 

These three girls are my life long friends that I met when my family began to Summer in Cape Cod when I was 13. Year after year, Summer after Summer we would meet up at Memorial day and spend most of our waking hours with each other through Labor Day. Our lives have brought us down interesting and different path's, but we still meet up every Summer and a bunch throughout the year. 

One of the girls, Erica has a fabulous and glamorous (I'm am sure she would argue that) job with Sony Records.  She worked her butt off at Emerson College, interned her senior year in Los Angeles and has been in the music business ever since. She is constantly touring the country with her bands, for a music festival or meetings with radio stations...her schedule makes me tired! Last winter while discussing having a girls weekend, and she suggested we meet in Nashville while she was in town with Snow Patrol and Ed Sheeran... YES PLEASE!    

Her amazing organizational and leadership skills helped create and amazing itinerary with phenomenal dinners, brunch, blow outs, a tractor tour, etc. 

This was a whirlwind few days, I fell in love with Nashville, but by no means did I spend enough time to suggest a 'Nashville City Guide'.

This was such an amazing choice by Erica! 
Maybe it is because the hostess forgot about us and we waited over an hour and I was 'hangry', or perhaps it is because it was the best damn brunch I have ever had! I think it was the latter of the two. Why aren't biscuits as big of a thing in the North?

So we got to hang around for an acoustic set and a meet and greet with Snow Patrol fans. 
unfortunately my videos would not load.  As if it wasn't wonderful enough to listen to them in such a small setting, to hear their fans express how they touched their lives and how their music has connected with them or helped them through certain times, was absolutely beautiful!

After our flight got delayed and we had another full day in Nashville, we decided to go to the Cash Museum.
There is not much I didn't already know abut Johnny Cash, but it was so cool to see letters to his wives, old photos, costumes and art work.  Very cool!

One of the most beautiful buildings! The statues, fountains and gardens were gorgeous too! 








I can't wait to visit Nashville again to see all of the sights we missed. 

We are already planning our next trip...
