Yay for Thursday! 

Nobody could be more excited that tomorrow is Friday than I am. 

Everybody knows not to go out at the beginning of the week because you will inevitably be junk. Well, I went out Sunday evening... lesson learned.

    

If you live in a area with four seasons where Winter seems to last forever, than you know you can never have too many pairs of boots or too many coats and jackets. Loving the teddy bear jacket trend. Warm and Fuzzy?  Yes please!

Good Morning Lovelies! 

Finally a new week! My blog schedule went completely awry last week as I came down with a nasty stomach flu. I was down for the count.  Guys, I watched a Larry the Cable Guy movie because I was too weak to change the channel...it was awful. In addition to the illness throwing my blog into a unwanted hiatus, it threw a monkey wrench into my weekend plans. I was supposed to go away for the weekend, but considering I needed a nap every time I made a flight of stairs, I felt it safer if I  remained close to home. Luckily no one else in my house has come down with this plague, so fingers crossed.  

I am so obsessed with this jacket.  I have yet to find a bomber I haven't loved. The original flight jackets, the satin bombers and now the varsity bomber, love them all. I loved the navy sleeves on this, they just spoke to me.  After I got it home I realized it looks just like my varsity cheerleading (yep, I was a cheerleader) jacket from high school, but this one doesn't have my name and 'rockets' on the back.

 Happy Tuesday Lovelies! 

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. 

I had a super relaxing weekend. Went out to dinner, snuggled during the blizzard, slept late and Sunday night watched the Golden Globes.  I have only seen one of the nominated movies, Manchester By The Sea.  While I thought it was good, I think it received way too much hype and was extremely depressing. From now until the Oscars I will try to see most of the critically acclaimed movies.  First on my list La La Land and Nocturnal Animals.  

 

Most of the country has been having crazy weather.  I know both coasts got hammered with snow and my brother who is in Omaha said it has been way below zero.  As previously stated, it is such a struggle for me to attempt to look cute in cold or snowy weather but I have been challenging myself to step out of, quite literally my comfort zone. 

So obviously the right choice for blizzard conditions is a sweater dress and over the knee boots, right?

Happy New Year! 

Yes, I know we are already four days into the new year, but this is my first post of 2017. 

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and holiday weekend.  I had a ton of family time and get togethers with friends.  

So resolutions, I am not making any this year.  In an attempt to not set myself up for failure,

I am making mindful decisions and consciously trying to make some changes but not calling them 'resolutions'.  I have learned I am more successful at attaining smaller more practical goals.  I have made a small fitness pact with a friend of mine so we can be held accountable. I will work on that right now, and perhaps a few more will trickle in through out the year.

Another goal I have is to redo my bedroom and with that purge my closet and get rid of what I don't want and get more things into my rotation.  If you knew how much stuff I have jam packed into this tiny space you would know what an undertaking it is.  Slowly but surely it will get done. I look forward to a clean, light, less cluttered space. 

I don't know about you, but this is the time of year I just wish to be cozy and comfy. A lot of black, and leggings and while today's look is exactly that, I will attempt to bring more color and structure into my winter wardrobe. We will see how that goes....
