Happy Tuesday!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We enjoyed an awesome weather weekend at the beach and had a trip quick to Martha's Vineyard. Sunday was a great day for a boat ride, shopping and our favorite restaurant, The Atlantic in Edgartown. 

If you are like me and for one reason or another spend a lot of your time in workout gear, you know that not all leggings are created equal.  I don't like flimsy material, but at the same time I don't love material that is too thick and tight.  I like a high waist so when I move they don't roll to expose skin. I can not believe we are nearing the end of July!
Where is the Summer going? If only January-March went as quickly as June-August!
While technically there is 8 weeks left of Summer, school starts up in 6 weeks and that is the real end of Summer.

If you are a frequent reader of S&S you know how much I love Summer.  The weather, longer days, a more lax schedule, all of it. I always love how much more time I have with my son.  With less sports and more vacation time, we get to really spend quality time and Nolan has been living his best life this Summer.  Trips to Narragansett, Ogunquit, and the Cape and when he is home he riding his bike around the neighborhood, pool hoping and playing manhunt. He is almost 13 and having a Summer like I reminisce about.  His group of friends are like all of those 80s movies we remember, Stand By Me, ET, The Goonies which is why we are LOVING Stranger Things Season 3. Are you watching? It is such a fun thing to watch together and something we can both relate to.

Being as it has been one of the most relaxing Summers I have had in a while, I have been loving the relaxed and casual look of palazzo pants.  They are so easy and yet look polished somewhat chic. This pair from Francesca's is on sale in a few different prints.

Hi! It's been a bit. 

Two weekends ago while I was preparing to take some photos for the blog and host a BBQ, I had a run in with my curling iron and accidentally grabbed it by the barrel instead of the handle.  Lots of ice and water, trip to urgent care, a painkiller shot, a ton of silvadene and gauze and a bottle of vicodin later,  I was sent home.  Needless to say I was pretty out of commission. 

I did try mid week to post about the NSale, but I was so completely underwhelmed with the sale this year, I just didn't bother.  

I would be lying if I told you these little accidents and nuisances were few and far between. I always seem to be walking  face first into the bathroom door or slamming my fingers in cabinets.  If it's not one thing, it's another. The reason? I am just always go -go - go!  Listen, I don't think I am busier than anyone else, perhaps it is just mismanagement of time.
