Black Floral Maxi: Now and Later
Thursday, August 25, 2016 4:30 AM
Happy Thursday!
Almost Friday again... the Summer weekends are dwindling, and I am trying to make the very best of what is left. After weeks of record heat, I can feel the Autumn weather creeping in. It has been little less humid, a little more crisp. The last few years I have tried to embrace the Fall. The weather truly is beautiful but as previously stated (quite a few times) I look at the Fall as the beginning of the end, just a prelude to Winter.
As most of you know, it is so hard to dress in these transition periods. This Sammy Dress floral maxi has been a Summer staple. It is easy and effortless and it HAS POCKETS!! I have already worn it so many times styling and accessorizing it completely different. Today I will show you how I am wearing it now, vs. still getting use out of it in a few weeks when the weather is cooler... And did I mention it has pockets?!

What a gorgeous dress styled with and without that jacket. I love that statement necklace, too! It does seem once the kids go back to school, I can just feel a touch of autumn! I was running today on a shaded trail and there was already a lot of leaves coming down!

I'd never think to wear a maxi dress with a leather jacket - leather jackets are for winter and maxi dresses are for summer. It looks great! I love the day to night transition! :) x

I do have my eye on this dress too! But since I had a slightly similar maxi dress, I opted out. But I can't deny that I am so in love with the print. Until now, I'm trying to convince myself that it is worth buying. Ha!

I look at Fall the same way you do. Although I enjoy the colors, I find it so depressing because I know the looming winter that lies ahead. I love this dress as a transitional piece. It looks great with the jacket too.
