Simple Striped Maxi
Wednesday, August 17, 2016 4:30 AM1. I am currently on vacation and posting from an undisclosed location, where you had better believe I have my toes in the sand and a tasty beverage in hand. The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind. As the Summer is flying by I have had lots of exciting things happening. I am feeling really happy where I am right now professionally and personally. I am just sticking with one post this week before I completely unplug.
2. I have been in a Olympic induced coma for over a week now. I simply can not shut it off. I am so amazed at all of these extraordinary athletes. Michael Phelps is just amazing! Beach Volleyball? Guys, the USA Women's Gymnastic Team?! Gymnastics has always been my favorite Summer Olympic Sport to watch, and I can never remember a team being so solid. I have been in complete amazement!
3. Next, my nephew. He is that kid that ever since he was little what ever he picked he was good at, a natural athlete. Throughout the year he plays football, basketball, and baseball. Last year his football team went on to be state champions, as did his basketball team. Every Spring 12 year old boys around the globe try out for a chance to play Summer Ball. The teams are usually called the Williamsport team, with hopes if they go all the way, they will make it to Williamsport, PA where they hold the Little league World Series. In the Late Spring Louis was very excited to land one of the coveted spots on this team. Most of the Summer has been practice every day and games on weekends. My sisters family, put vacation and Summer plans on hold waiting to see when and if the Wellesley Raiders would be eliminated, but they kept winning... and winning... and winning. They won the state championship beating out 225 other teams, and were at the ESPN headquarters all last week trying to clench the New England regionals and be one of the two teams to head to Williamsport. They started off their stay in Bristol strong beating NH 10- 0, but unfortunately after two losses they were sent home. It has been such an exciting season for these boys, never expecting to get as far as they did. They should be so proud of themsleves. Not many 12 year old boys can say they were on ESPN!
4. Last, but certainly not least... two of my favorite things are stripes and maxi dresses, so when the two are combined they equal an easy go-to Summer look for me. Collaborating with Hot Kiss has been nothing short of a pleasure. Their clothing is cute, on trend and 100% accurately sized.
This maxi has been on repeat all season long. Perfect for dinner, drinks and hanging with friends in a beach community, for that easy, breezy, relaxed look.
